What is a Nerdminer V2?
The Nerdminer V2 is a compact bitcoin solo miner for USB, built on the original LILYGO T-Display S3 (ESP32-S3) with the BitMiner24 firmware 2.0 preinstalled (open source, MIT licence). With up to 300 kH/s at under 1 watt it is the simplest and most affordable way into solo mining.
How likely is it to find a block with the Nerdminer V2?
Honestly: very unlikely. The Nerdminer V2 manages about 300 kH/s, the whole bitcoin network many times that, so a find is a real stroke of luck. It is still possible: every hash of your device has exactly the same chance as every hash of a mining farm, and solo miners around the world find blocks regularly, verifiable on mempool.space. If your device finds one, the full reward of 3.125 BTC, currently around 226,000 €, is yours.

What hardware is the Nerdminer V2 based on?
