NerdNOS — your shot at 3.125 BTC
Your shot at 3.125 BTC, solo mining around the clock
If your NerdNOS finds a block, the whole reward is yours: no pool, no shares, straight to your wallet.
480,000x more attempts per second than a Nerdminer V2, so every second counts for more.
Under 8 watts across the whole year, no running costs, just leave it running.
There is not much you can lose. A lottery ticket is worthless after the draw. Your NerdNOS stays a real miner that works for the bitcoin network day and night. If it finds a block, the full reward is yours.

Every second is a chance, and the NerdNOS takes up to 120 billion of them. Per second. Solo miners around the world find blocks regularly. Here are the most recent real finds:
| Block | Date | Value (EUR) | Pool | |
|---|---|---|---|---|

Solo mining stays probabilistic. We can neither predict nor guarantee a block find. Every figure shown here is real and verifiable on the bitcoin blockchain via mempool.space.
What do you get for 99 €?
99 € and you are in
A device that runs bitcoin solo mining for you around the clock. Every hash is a real shot at the full block reward.
- Under 8 watts, less than 21 €/year in electricity
- Runs 24/7 with no running costs
- Plug & play in 3 minutes
- 400,000x more attempts per second than a Nerdminer V2
- Solo pools worldwide find a block every 2 to 3 weeks
- If your device finds the block, you get 3.125 BTC
- Straight to your wallet, no pool shares, no middlemen
Solo mining is probabilistic. No block find is guaranteed. All data is verifiable live on mempool.space.
Two devices. Two routes to the same block.
Both devices take part in the same solo mining network, and both mine straight to your own bitcoin address. The Nerdminer V2 is silent, tiny and under 1 watt. The NerdNOS makes more attempts per second on the bitcoin network. Run both and you are in with two devices in parallel.
Mini-Format
A real bitcoin computerMore NerdNOS, more attempts per second.
Every extra device multiplies your attempts per second, and with them how often you are in the race for the next block.
All devices mine in parallel to your own wallet, and the attempts add up. A block find stays a matter of luck, but every NerdNOS puts you in the race more often.
On a device smaller than your phone. Around the clock, without a break.
NerdNOS, power supply, USB cable and a printed guide. Unbox it, plug it in, and three steps later your miner is running.

There is not much you can lose.
A lottery ticket is worthless after the draw. Your NerdNOS is not, and that changes everything.
The device stays yours
A lottery ticket goes in the bin after the draw. Your NerdNOS keeps going block after block: real hardware that mines for years and looks good on a desk.
A new draw every second
No weekly draw. 120 billion attempts per second, around the clock. Your NerdNOS keeps playing while you sleep, work and live.
Buy once, done
No subscriptions, no pool fees, no cloud mining contract. 99 € once, and from then on your NerdNOS mines for you with nothing debited every month.
You do not lose a stake. You get real hardware and a real chance at an entire bitcoin block.
Common questions
What happens if I find a block?
The block reward (currently 3.125 BTC, about 175,000+ €) is sent by the solo pool to the bitcoin address from your setup. No fees to us, no pool share. With solo mining the whole block is yours. After 6 confirmations (about 60 minutes) the reward is in your wallet.
Do I need bitcoin knowledge to get started?
No. All you need is a bitcoin receiving address. You can get one in 10 minutes, free of charge and without buying any BTC, at Finst (advertisement*). Your NerdNOS setup interface handles the rest. We have a step-by-step guide for creating an address. * Affiliate link. We receive a commission and it costs you nothing extra.
Can I run several NerdNOS in parallel?
Yes. Hash rate adds up: 2 devices means 240 billion attempts per second. You can point them all at the same bitcoin address (the block reward reaches you whichever device hits) or give each device its own address.
What is the difference between the NerdNOS and the Nerdminer V2?
Both take part in the same solo mining network and find blocks on the same principle. The Nerdminer V2 is silent and tiny, ideal for a living room and always-on use. The NerdNOS has considerably more power and makes more attempts per second on the bitcoin network. Run both and you are in with two devices in parallel. Solo mining versus pool mining in detail.
How loud is the fan really?
About 42 dB at 30 cm, comparable to quiet office ventilation. Daytime use in a home office is no problem. Next to your bed at night is not a good idea.
What if the power goes out briefly?
The NerdNOS restarts automatically once power returns, reconnects to your Wi-Fi and simply carries on. Your address and all settings stay saved.
How do I update the firmware?
The NerdNOS firmware (AxeOS) is open source and updates straight from the web interface. No tool, no command line. Updates are flashed through the AxeOS browser and your configuration (Wi-Fi, bitcoin address) is preserved.
Do I need my own bitcoin full node?
No. By default the NerdNOS connects to public-pool.io, a solo mining pool that handles the connection to the bitcoin network, at 0 % pool fee. You can switch to a different solo pool or your own node at any time.
Do you ship to Austria and Switzerland?
Yes. We ship to DE, AT, CH and LU. Shipping within Germany takes 2 to 3 business days with DHL GoGreen. AT, CH and LU take 4 to 7 business days. Shipments to Switzerland incur customs duty and import VAT, payable by the recipient.
What will the block reward cost me in tax?
In Germany: no tax arises while the device is simply running and finding nothing. If you do find a block, the reward counts as other income under § 22 no. 3 EStG per the BMF letters of 10 May 2022 and 6 March 2025, and is taxable in the year it is received at your personal income tax rate. The 256 € exemption threshold applies to other income per year. Tip: if you hold the mined BTC for at least one year, the later private sale can be realised tax free under § 23 EStG. This is not tax advice. Please ask a tax adviser about your own case.
Do I have to register a business?
For a single hobby device at home, usually no. The German tax authorities only see a commercial activity once mining is carried out "sustainably, systematically and with the intent to make a profit" (an organised setup, several devices, permanent operation). One NerdNOS on a desk typically falls under other income (§ 22 no. 3 EStG). If in doubt, clarify it with your tax adviser or your local tax office.
What technology is inside the NerdNOS?
BM1397 ASIC
The NerdNOS runs a BM1397 7 nm SHA-256 ASIC, the same chip type originally built into industrial mining machines. Here it is throttled to 8 W for 80 to 120 GH/s.
AxeOS, open source firmware
The AxeOS firmware is open source and readable on GitHub. It flashes from the browser and updates any time through the web interface.
Stratum & pools
Full Stratum V1 support. Solo pools such as public-pool.io, or your own solo node, can be configured freely.
Wallet compatibility
Any bitcoin receiving address: legacy, SegWit, Taproot. Hardware wallets (Ledger, Trezor, BitBox) are supported. Copy the address, paste it, done.
Will this make me rich?
Honest answer: probably not. Solo mining is a game of luck with a small probability. If your NerdNOS does find a block, that is more than 175,000 € in one go. If it does not, you have a piece of bitcoin history on your desk for 99 € and have used 21 € of electricity a year. You can work through the odds yourself in the solo mining calculator.
